GIRLS SKILL CENTRE @PLSC
(U10 - U13)
The WIA Girls Skill Centre, delivered in partnership with Prospect Lake Soccer Club, provides girls with a supportive, development-focused environment where they can build confidence, develop their skills, and enjoy the game.
Led by professional female coaches and aligned with Canada Soccer’s Grassroots Standards, the program focuses on purposeful training, small-sided play, and age-appropriate competition to support long-term development.
Players are encouraged to be creative, confident, and brave on the ball while learning in a positive environment supported by dedicated coaches and mentors.
-
U10/U11
The U10/U11 phase focuses on building strong technical foundations and developing a love for learning through the game.
Players are introduced to greater structure and accountability while continuing to develop creativity, confidence, coordination, and comfort on the ball in a fun and supportive environment.
-
U11/U12
At U11/U12, players continue refining their technical skills while developing greater awareness and understanding of the game.
Training introduces more advanced concepts of positioning, movement, decision-making, and collaboration, helping players become more confident and intelligent within team environments.
-
U12/U13
The U12/U13 phase prepares players for the next stage of progression by increasing the level of challenge within the training and game environment.
Players continue to strengthen their technical foundation while developing tactical understanding, speed of play, accountability, and confidence under pressure as they prepare for full-field play.

SKILL CENTRE - 2026/2027 Season

Players are not permanently assigned to a specific team or division, and training and game rosters may remain fluid throughout the season to support long-term player development.
Placement within training and game environments is determined by the Technical Directors and coaching staff, based on each player’s individual developmental needs and readiness.
Weekly game rosters are selected based on player development, availability, competition level, and team needs to ensure balanced competition and meaningful game experiences for all players.
