Festivals and tournaments play an important role in player development and the football experience. They provide opportunities to compete against new opponents, experience different environments, build connections, and create lasting memories.
Throughout the year, WIA hosts and participates in a range of festivals and tournaments locally, nationally, and internationally, bringing together players, clubs, and communities through the game. The focus is always on providing meaningful experiences that support development, competition, and a lifelong love of football.

Skill Centre Island Festival
The Skill Centre Island Festival is hosted by WIA and brings together young players in a positive, development-focused environment.
Designed for Skill Centre age groups, the festival provides meaningful game opportunities while supporting creativity, confidence, and a love of the game.

NATIONAL Tournaments
WIA teams also participate in selected tournaments on the mainland and across Canada throughout the season.
These events provide players with exposure to different competition, new playing styles, and valuable team experiences in a more competitive setting.

International Opportunities
Through our international relationships, WIA players may have opportunities to participate in tournaments abroad, including events in Sweden.
These experiences allow players to compete internationally, experience different football cultures, and grow both on and off the field.
