SKILL CENTRE - GRASSROOTS

(U10 - U13)

Where players begin to train with structure and purpose

  • Children playing soccer on a field during an organized practice, with a large modern building and trees in the background under a blue sky.

    PLAYER PROGRESSION

The Skill Centre is designed for players ready to move beyond introductory soccer and train in a more structured development environment.

Aligned with Canada Soccer Grassroots Standards, the program helps players build technical foundations, improve game understanding, and develop the habits needed for long-term growth in the game.

The focus is on meaningful player development, not short-term results.

  • Soccer players sitting on the sideline during a game, with their backs facing the camera, dressed in gray jerseys and red shorts, on a green grass field.

    PLAYERS EXPERIENCE

Players train 2 to 3 times per week with professional coaches in an environment focused on learning, repetition, and purposeful competition.

League games take place on Saturdays through the LISA Development League, with additional festival and tournament opportunities throughout the season.

Training is designed to help players become more confident on the ball, make better decisions, and apply their skills in game environments.

  • A group of female soccer players in red uniforms high-five each other on a soccer field during a game or practice.

    OUR APPROACH

Players are placed in environments that best support their developmental stage.

Training groups and game rosters remain flexible throughout the season, allowing players to move between environments as they grow and develop.

The Technical Director and coaching staff guide placement decisions based on factors such as technical ability, game understanding, physical development, attitude, and commitment.

“At a young age, winning is not the most important thing.

The important thing is to develop creative and skilled players with good confidence.”
